Refunds & Returns Policy (Ireland, 2026)
Thank you for supporting my small jewellery studio. This policy outlines your rights and how returns are handled in line with Irish and EU consumer protection laws.
Your Right to Cancel (14‑Day Cooling‑Off Period)
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2022 and the EU Consumer Rights Directive, customers have the right to cancel most online purchases within 14 days of receiving their order.
To exercise this right, you must notify me in writing (email is perfect) within the 14‑day period. You then have another 14 days to return the item.
Exceptions for Hygiene‑Sensitive Jewellery
For health, safety, and hygiene reasons, certain jewellery items cannot be returned once opened or worn, unless they are faulty. This includes:
- Earrings
- Body jewellery
- Any item that has been inserted into or worn close to the body
- Jewellery where hygiene seals have been broken
Once these items are opened, tried on, or handled in a way that prevents them from being resold safely, they are not eligible for return or refund. This exemption is permitted under EU hygiene regulations and Irish consumer law.
If the item is faulty, damaged on arrival, or not as described, you are still fully protected, see below.
Returns for Non‑Hygiene Items
For items that are not hygiene‑sensitive (e.g., necklaces, bracelets, rings), returns are accepted if:
- You contact me within 14 days of receiving your order
- The item is unused, unworn, and in its original packaging
- The item is returned in resaleable condition
Customers are responsible for return postage unless the item is faulty.
Faulty or Incorrect Items
If your jewellery arrives damaged, faulty, or not as described, please contact me within 48 hours with photos so I can help quickly.
In these cases, you are entitled to a repair, replacement, or refund under Irish consumer law. I will cover return shipping for faulty items.
How to Start a Return
To request a return, please email:
Include:
- Your name
- Order number
- Item(s) you wish to return
- Reason for return
- Photos (if the item is faulty)
I’ll reply with return instructions and the return address.
Refunds
Once your return is received and inspected, I’ll notify you of approval or rejection. Approved refunds are processed to your original payment method within 7–10 business days.
Shipping costs are non‑refundable unless the item was faulty.
Return Shipping
- Customers are responsible for return postage for change‑of‑mind returns.
- I recommend using tracked postage, as I cannot refund items lost in transit.
- For faulty items, I will cover return shipping or provide a prepaid label where possible.
Hygiene & Safety Commitment
Jewellery that has been worn, inserted, or handled in a way that compromises hygiene cannot be resold. This protects all customers and ensures every piece you receive is new, safe, and clean.
